Quick Help

The concept is simple: use the app as a compass to orient yourself to the location of the Western Wall in Jerusalem.  Then hit the scripture scroll icon 📜 to open a view of the wall, and as you come virtually face-to-face to the wall a selected passage of scripture is presented to help you get started.  Then pour out your heart, and Pray!

➤ Tap on the map location icon to move the map to your current location. Tap it again to enter compass mode.

📜 Tap of the scroll icon to show a view of the Western Wall and selected verse. Verses are selected from a curated list containing various translations in the languages supported.  If you have a favorite verse related to the peace of Jerusalem or the importance of prayer please feel free to bring it to my attention and I will consider adding it.

🙏🏽 Tap the prayer icon to display a path between your location and the Western Wall in Jerusalem.  Tap 🙌🏽 to remove the path.

🛩️ Tap the airplane icon to animate your virtual voyage from your current location to the Western Wall location.

🧭 Tap the compass icon to enter compass mode. You can use compass mode as well as 🌎 map/globe mode to orient yourself to Jerusalem. Align the dove 🕊️ on the compass ✡️ with the Israel flag 🇮🇱 at the top of the view. Once aligned (within +/- 2 degrees), a flame 🔥 will appear behind the praying hands 🙏🏽.  Bearing information on wifi-only tablets is calculated based on the location of your ip address and can vary significantly. Location/bearing works best on GPS-enabled devices (like your cell phone).

At the top right corner of the compass screen a helper icon briefly displays indicating you to tap the center of an icon.  Tap the center of the compass to start/stop monitoring your heading.

🌎 Tap the globe icon to exit compass mode and enter map mode.

🛰️ Tap the satellite icon to enter satellite mode.

🔭 Tap the telescope icon to exit satellite mode.  It will set the map's camera height to 1000 meters and it works anywhere on the map.  Remember that you can always tap on the map location icon to return to your current location.

On both the scripture and about/help views you can tap the gate at the bottom to exit that view.

The app language can be changed by searching for "Pray!" on your device settings app.  At the moment, the following languages are supported:

  • English
  • Español
  • Français
  • Italiano
  • Português
  • Русский (Russian)
  • 中国人 (Chinese, Simplified)
  • عربي (Arabic)
  • עִברִית (Hebrew)
  • 日本語 (Japanese)
